To access food parcels, individuals should go through a referral agency and get a voucher number which is used to pick up the parcel.


Barnsley & Rotherham Mind https://www.rbmind.co.uk/ Rotherham & Barnsley Mind is an independent local provider of high-quality mental health services across the local area. Supporting those in need, so that no-one feels alone, they empower individuals to start on the pathway to recovery, and advocate that a condition should never define the person.


Age UK Barnsley https://www.ageuk.org.uk/ Age UK Barnsley is a registered independent local charity founded in 1974 whose aim is to support the health and wellbeing of all older people living in the Barnsley borough. Age UK Barnsley is a brand partner of the national Age UK charity but they are a local charity and all monies raised by Age UK Barnsley is spent in the Barnsley Borough.

Established in 1985 from the belief that disabled people themselves are the ‘experts’ in understanding the needs of disabled people and with a willingness to share that experience and knowledge.


Citizens Advice Barnsley https://barnsleycab.org.uk/ Citizens Advice Barnsley are a local independent charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee and they are a member of the national Citizens Advice service. Established in 1964 the free and confidential service supports people living in the borough of Barnsley.


Barnsley Samaritans https://www.samaritans.org/branches/barnsley/ Barnsley Samaritans has been helping people for over 50 years, taking their first call in 1968. Based on the edge of Barnsley town centre since 1991 they provide emotional support to people from all over the area.

Andy's Man Club https://andysmanclub.co.uk/ ANDYSMANCLUB are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. They want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation and they have a handful of active groups around Barnsley.


Barnsley OCD Group https://www.rethink.org/help-in-your-area/support-groups/barnsley-ocd-group/ The Barnsley OCD group offers people living with OCD and their family members, friends and carers the chance to come together in a supportive and welcoming space. The group meets monthly to socialise, share experiences and offer support and encouragement to each other, as well as to enjoy a good chat over a cup of tea and a few biscuits.

The committed volunteer team proactively target those who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness with hot drinks, something to eat, a listening ear and, as needed, signposting and support to access services.
